What is it with Christmas trips and bad weather? Last year it was continual rain in the supposed dry season of Sri Lanka, and this year I had more rain in my first 5 days in Perth than they'd had in the previous 3 months. Can't complain though. I did finally get some lovely weather, although the flies made outide shooting a problem at times.

I stayed in Western Australia, and covered just a fraction of what the country has to offer, although it varied between city skyscrapers, deserted coastline and elegant vineyards.
